UNCIVIC SENSE

Do we care for our fellow citizens? Do we lack basic civic sense? Last year a
Bank Manager was washed away in a drain gutter, the drain lid was stolen. A hue and cry was raised. The incident was quickly forgotten. Public Memory is ultra short. What do you do when you find a open drain?. Do you report to the civic authorities? Do you try to buy a lid and do your bit of social service? Are you afraid the civic authorities will reprimand you? Do you just walk away ? What would the Father of Nation done, if he was alive?. He would have been there guarding the manhole till, the manhole is closed.
